Notes on Performance Dog-paddling in the Old World

Why Budget?

I do a budget every month for 3/'4 of the month. It's the only joy of money, trying to make it work, even though I come out at zero each time. My view is that money use is a dying practice and the faster I can use it up the more value I will get from it. The longer I wait the less value it has, due to inflation, mass printings, rising prices, raised levels of extraction, etc.

Method: Budget the Speed at which I Lose My [Life-]Time

So, my budget is always as tightly tied to zero as possible. The more I buy food ahead-of-time, the more I will get. Prices on some items I order in bulk subscriptions from Amazon have gone up 35% in the past 4 months. In stores, cans get smaller, stay the same and are filled less, or have higher prices.

Countdown to "The [No-]Future of Time"

Soon we'll be paying all income for emptiness, for containers containing nothing. We will have to pay all of our "worth" just to keep from being exterminated.... Instead of gold teeth being extracted we are subject to continuous ads by gold buyers, paying us with fiat money.

Do I Still Dream? Is It an Illusion of Dream?

I still vacillate between hope (where I take on assistance I can no longer afford in time or energy or money) and reality where I am a dot separated by miles from any other dots. Not much of a choice, a choice between silence and noise.

On Becoming the Light at the End of the Tunnel

Alas, I am finishing up my tasks for an end to the world as we know it. One way or another — through acts or non-acts — the world cannot stay the same. I am torn between the either-or duality of the false choice held up as the only choice. As the tick-down speeds up, the inevitability of no change gives me the same headache.
