Subject Predicate Object

Where Have All the Subjects Gone?

We "persist" in the world where things "persist" as pseudo-subjects:

  • "Joy is good to your hands";
  • "Kool-aid makes friends";
  • "the subject line proves we are not on topic";
  • "today, the United States attacked itsself";
  • "the public interest wants this".

Alien Time Passing

Things seemingly-"exist" in the world where we recede into the background as pseudo-objects:
  • "My lifestyle is...";
  • "I belong to this club...";
  • "I'm for the 49ers because I live near SF".

Blown by the Capital Wind

It becomes a bit unclear as to what a "subject" is any more, so I fully agree with every assertion of subjectivity over anything. That we may all feel this all the time, tells me that "[We] have that going for [us]", ironically-borrowing from Bill Murray's character in "Caddyshack"....
